Every year I 'project' the next years top 1000+, using the assumption that everything will move exactly as it had the year before. Obviously that's not true, since pop culture effects the charts in ways I can't necessarily predict, but it does work fairly well as a prediction method.
Last year, I correctly predicted these would appear on the 2017 chart:

Here's the list of boys names that are projected to appear on the top 1000 for 2018. The ones that I bolded are names that I predicted last year as well (if they appear twice, they're still rising, just at a slower-than-predicted rate). They are in order of highest projected rank to lowest (which functions as a "most to least likely").
