Re: Stone/money names: use over the years

Ha, now I've got 'The Days of Pearly Spencer' stuck in my head.
I used to know a male Jade. I like it much better on dudes. I've seen male use of Jewel, Pearl and Emerald here in historical records; don't know how well they'd work now, but they all sound okay as male names to me. Treasure has some historical use here as a unisex name and so does Diamond, which strikes me as quite masculine - maybe because of Desmond, and Neil Diamond.I like Crystal best. It's never really been popular here, so I can keep my 1920s art deco ice palace vision of it. And I have a soft spot for Charity because it's a family name, although I'd never use it.Aur (gold) is sometimes used as a middle name in Wales, and very rarely, Arian (silver, but also the word for money). I guess you could also add Buck?
