Re: -ian names

My favourites are Sebastian and Caspian. I'm fond of Julian, Finnian and Lucian, as well.
Vivian - I like Vivian/Vivien for boys, and Vivienne/Viviane for girls.
Marian - I much prefer Marion.
Adrian and Ian - Likeable, albeit a little dated. I have an uncle Ian, and I find the name more refreshing than John. I would like to hear them both more often.
The following give me the illusion of grandeur and I struggle somewhat to imagine them on real people, although I think most of them are usable. They'd work well for characters. Hadrian interests me the most.
Cyprian
Dorian
Florian
Fabian
Hadrian
Vespasian
Ninian - Seems a bit wimpy, especially when compared to the others, and "ninny" isn't the greatest of nicknames.
I also like: Cassian, Damian, Maximillian (it's so fun to say!), Octavian, Cillian (with this spelling) and Jillian (with this spelling).
