HelpRe: PLEASE HELP!!!! lachlan because I love it, or Liam because we both like it

US perspective (I don't know where you live so the popularity stuff might be different):
I love Lachlan! I like Liam, but not as much as I used to because I think it got too popular in the recent past. I started liking Lachlan and Liam around the same time, but then Liam took off and Lachlan didn't.
Lachlan David and Liam David are both good, but I think Lachlan David sounds better and more interesting. Liam goes better with the names of his kids, but I don't think it's too important to match the name style of half siblings. (Maybe it depends on their ages and whether they'll be spending a lot of time together. My half siblings were old enough that they never really lived with me, so it wasn't like the names had to go together as a set.)
What about Lachlan William or Lachlan David William? You could use the family name and he could use Liam as a nickname if he wanted. But David is already a family name and it makes more sense to use it since it's on both sides.
TL;DR my vote is for Lachlan, but Liam isn't bad at all.

Thank you so much for your awesome feedback! As far as siblings go they are biologically his, however I’m the only mom they’ve known. They will be full time brothers, and don’t even know he’s their half brother
