I love it, it's on my list. But I would spell it with the trema. I imagine a cute little girl. I love the meaning too, I find it calm and healing in a way even though I guess many people would find it weird.

Sound-wise, I much prefer Thaisa for a first name, but I think Thais could be nice in the middle. The literal meaning is a bit odd, but I enjoy the “virtues” of healing and protection. Thaisa Dove and Thaisa Hedy are the combos I have. Might try playing with Thais.

Thais feels a bit exotic to me. I also get an airy/nature vibe. A bearer might be someone who enjoys reading/studying out of doors, wearing floral fabrics, and leaving her hair loose when riding in a convertible. Huh.

I love the name, but I'm uncertain how to answer the "kind of person" I'd imagine with this name. I might, however, offer this as a variation for a Terry / Thierry / Theresa / Terence.
