Anakin
I was watching the news today, and there was an interviewee named Anakin. I tend to imagine Anakin as a young American male, so I was surprised because this Anakin was a Spanish woman (in her 30s? 40s?). I wonder if it's related to Star Wars or if it's a surname-as-first-name (because I'd guess she was born before Star Wars)...Wdyto Anakin for girls? Do you like it more or less than you would for a boy?

Huh. I like Anakin for a boy, and I know it was based on the surname Annakin (or Annikin? Or something like that) but it seems strange on a girl to me. Surnames-as-first-names are usually masculine too, so either way it seems like it should be a boy.

Hi !!!I always fall asleep when I try to watch a Star Wars film (I saw just the first one) so Anakin is nearly the only character I can remember. As I'm not a fan of the saga I would not use it. Maybe on a pet but not sure..there are better names imo.

Way too Star Wars for me. I also cannot picture it on a girl.
