Emma - It's my name. Kinda cute, but pretty basic.
Olivia - Sometimes I like it and sometimes I don't. I think it's overdone but it does fit some people well.
Ava - Also overdone. I like Eva though.
Isabella - Not bad, but I prefer Isabela because it's less frilly.
Sophia - I want to like this name because of the meaning but... nope. It's too frilly/girly (and also sounds kind of muffled).
Mia - Cute as a nickname but too short for a full name IMO. Also I've been somewhat turned off of Mia and Ana because they also mean personifications of eating disorders.
Charlotte - I like this one. It's kind of frilly but also has a grandmotherly feel (but that doesn't mean it feels like an old person name).
Amelia - Meh, I prefer a lot of similar-sounding names like Emilia, Aemilia, Amelie, Amalie, Amalia, etc.
Evelyn - I don't think this should be coming back yet! It still sounds dated to me!
Abigail - I like it. It has a sort of sweet-but-rustic style. "Abby" is overrated though, and almost nobody goes by "Abigail".
I find it strange that most of the top names are very girly except for a couple of tomboyish names like Harper and Riley (Really, Riley is #25 for girls? I've never met a female Riley, and the only ones I've heard of are one TV character and one YouTuber...) and then the list goes right back to the floofy girly stuff.

Emma - a strong, solid, traditional name. Olivia - bored of it. Olive is much better.Ava - yawnIsabella - I have shared my dislike of Isabella, Isabelle, Isabel et al many times. Sophia - I like it a lot, but not one I'd use.Mia - dislike. A lot.Charlotte - it's my name. I see why people love it, but I also see why people don't like it. I guess like Emma, it's strong, solid, and traditional. Personally I do love my name, and it's certainly better than some of the other names I almost got called.Amelia - one of my most disliked names. I'm the daughter of a doctor, who once told me the meaning of the medical term Amelia, and for me personally, it makes the name unusable. Plus I don't like how it sounds either. And I've never known a nice one. The girls at my school named Amelia were all awful.Evelyn - lovely, beautiful, but getting very overdone.Abigail - don't like it. Never have, never will. I think all the appalling spellings that have appeared over the years (yes Abbygale, Abbeygail, Abbigayle et al, I'm talking about you), have ruined it.

Emma - before it was popular, I thought it was a beautiful name. The sound is so pretty to me. Since it's so popular, I have to make an effort now to see its beauty. Olivia - I don't care for the sound. I was almost named Olivia in 1985 and as a kid I used to thank my mom profusely for naming me Caroline instead. I thought Olivia was repulsive. I'm not repulsed by it now, but I still think it's unattractive. Ava - Yeah, I'll never get it with this name. Eve I'd understand. Ava? What's to like?Isabella - I'm not a fan of Isabella but I am a fan of Isabel. It's just one of the most beautiful names on earth. I resent its extreme popularity. If it wasn't such a trend name, Isabel would be my top name, no question. Sophia - never have cared for the Soph names very much, but I prefer Sophie to Sophia. I remember thinking Sophie and Sophia were comically stuffy when I heard them as a child, like the name for a rich old woman's small fluffy white dog. Mia - see Ava, except this is even less appealing.Charlotte - meh... It's never been a favorite but I can see why people like it. It's lost its charm, or a good bit of it, for me. Amelia - I used to be a bigger fan of it than I am now. I never thought it'd get quite this popular. Really, top 10 level popularity ruins names for me. I know it's stupid but it's how I feel.Evelyn - so surprised this is so popular. It still sounds so dusty to my ears. It's kind of frumpy. Evie (Eh-vee) is so cute it's almost worth using Evelyn. It's certainly better than Everly.

I think that all of these names are decent and I honestly don't have a problem with any of them. *Heres to hoping that Harper doesn't slide back on* That name is just...eww. I'm looking foreward for the 2018 list (as every year). 5 more months to go. (: My favorites have to go: Olivia, Ava, Charlotte & Amelia. If it makes you feel better, I predict that 'Abigail' might leave the top 10's and be replaced by something else. (I have a few names lined up). But it's just one of those things that if it does, it does. If it doesn't, it doesn't. Wouldn't personally bother me either way.
