Wintra: even worse than Winter.
Wilda: very elderly and ugly sounding.
Wanda: I like the Polish pronunciation - VAN-da. It was my great grandmother's name.

Wintra is hilariously awful, and Wilda and Wylda are just awful. Wanda, pronounced Vahnda, at least has objective existence. It's not a favourite, but it's definitely OK.When I was a kid we had neighbours for a while, a Polish man and his Scottish wife. Their children were Roderick and Wanda.

Hi !!!Wintra 4/10 is too harsh in my opinion. I much prefer Winterina.Wilda / Wylda 3/10 seems dated.Wanda 6/10 is an old fave of mine. I like the sound but not the meaning. I prefer Lavanda (Lavender) over it.

I think I like Wanda and Wilda in rhotic accents. If you had that name in non-rhotic accent areas, people could think your name was Wander or Wilder. (Although I do like Wilder -- total guilty pleasure name for me, way trendier than the names I usually like.) It just occurred to me that maybe Wilda is a short-I sound, like WILL-duh? I hate that. I would only like it with a long-I sound. Wintra seems made up. I don't like anything about it.
