Should the name Eunice be revived? What do you think of it?
I absolutely love the name Eunice. I feel like it has a nice soft and gentle sound, and is due for a rediscovery. My favorite nickname for it is Nissie, and I think it really would fit a young girl today, it also has a wonderful Biblical association, and it means "good victory", which is awesome. I also really like the Polish version Eunika just as much if not a little more. Eunice reminds me of names like Edith or Etta, which are being redisovered a lot in the past few years. What do you think?

I really like it! I agree that it's soft and gentle, but I also sense an inner steeliness. Eunika is gorgeous.

I quite like it with the Greek pronunciation: ev NEE kee. Pronounced YOUniss, it doesn't appeal at all.FWIW, there's a very distinguished girls' school here in South Africa called Eunice and pronounced you NEE see.
