Baby Boy
Hi! I am expecting my first child and due on Feb 2! My husband and I just found out it’s a boy! We are having a really hard time coming up with names. I like shorter names (usually 2 syllables) and not a big fan of longer names or common names like Christopher, Matthew, Nicholas, Jonathan, etc. We don’t want a super common name where there will be multiples of that name in the classroom, but I also don’t want anything to unique. A few names I do like but my husband isn’t sure how he feels about are - Liam (loved this name since I was a kid and before this name was on any type of popular names list but now I feel like there are a lot of Liams, ugh) and Luca (love that it is short and sweet and I haven’t met anyone with this name and it’s not too unique). If it was a girl, we already had the name picked out...Casey (after my grandma). I don’t know if this information can give anyone ideas of what names we might like, but I would appreciate any suggestions! Thank you!

Liam, Luca and Casey are lovely. I dont know of any little Liams, I think most of them are now in their teens. Would you consider Casey for a boy?others Aaron, Reuben, Andrew, Austin, Calvin, Derek, Adam, Blake, Craig, Dean, Grant, Todd, Jared, Daniel, Caleb, Asher, Callum, Eric, Finley, Gavin, James, Jude, Leo, Lewis, Mark, Micah, Max, Ethan, Evan, Ezra, Felix, Glen, Heath, Henry, Jason, Jonah, Levi, Martin, Nathan, Noah, Nolan, Owen, Paul, Oscar, Peter, Ronan, Sean, Silas, Robert, Thomas, Xavier, Wyatt, Victor,

I've met boys named both Liam and Luca. I quite like Luca. Liam is okay, but a bit overused.Casey is of course an option for a boy as well, or just Case (which Idon'treally like, but maybe you do).Other suggestions:Remy

Dane
Tristan
Boaz

Liam is THE most popular baby boys name where I live. I am so sick of Liam. You're far less likely to meet a baby Matthew, or Christopher. Luca is a nice name, but also very similar to the very popular Lucas. Ethan

Well, you could name a boy Casey, but of course if you do that and later have a daughter, you'll have to pick another name for her.
There's Levi, which gives you the same Lee sound as Lia but not quite so popular.
Be aware that while you may not know a Luca, you will likely meet a lot of Lukes and Lucases, and a Luca will be easily confused and lumped in with them.

EliI do agree that Liam is quite popular but Luca is nice and I’ve never met a Luca either! I like it spelt Luka and Louca too.
