I’ve loved Sybil ever since watching Downton Abbey. I found it really helped me imagine it on a younger person or child, and I adore Sybbie as a nickname. I think it’s sweet and cute, but also strong, feisty, and would age really well. I love it!

Love this name, but prefer the Sibyl spelling. Always been a minimalist, and this name is so stripped down and beautiful. I also love that it’s a name that bespeaks true female power. It’s not pretty, which means it actually has a shot at being beautiful. What’s not to love?

I love it, this spelling. But I feel it's associated too much with Downton Abbey. I doubt my husband would like it... sigh.Sybil Dorothea

I love it, because of the Terry Pratchett character. I could see it making a comeback.

Meh. I don’t really get the hype. It’s a nice name, sure, but everyone on BtN worships it for some reason. Like, what’s so amazing about it?

It's kind of cool, but I never know whether it is correctly spelled Sybil or Sibyl. It reminds me of the Harry Potter character who was crazy but fun :)I wouldn't use it but I'd like to see it used more. It has an unusual sound and is not the bland Ava, Eva, Anna, Emma, Ella thing (nothing against those names, I like many currently popular names, but they all sound so similar).

Love it. It’s been one of my absolute favorite names for years, this spelling.
