Aideen
What do you think of Aideen? It's pronounced AY-deen and an anglicized form of Étáin.

Sounds like some medical supply, like burn ointment or a laxative.

It's mature sounding and I guess there wouldn't be any confusion about pronounciation. I like it more then Etain.

It's ok, but I prefer Aoibheann (ay-VEEN) for that general sound-feel.EDIT: I know the pronunciation guide on BtN says EE-van for Aoibheann, but Ireland varies a great deal in its dialects, and my friend who is Irish born & bred, and speaks Irish, has a daughter who is Aoibheann with the ay-VEEN pronunciation.

I love Aoibheann as well. I also have no idea, I heard ee-VEEN for Aoibheann as Aoibhe seems to be EE-va. But maybe Aoibhinn is ee-VEEN? There's also Aoibhin. It is a nice name but a bit confusing.
