Noooooo! Not Manners the Butler!!!!!Actually, I have NO idea who Manners the Butler was. That pre-dates me, fer shure. But if this is one of those "Where Are They Now?" kinda guessing games... I guess that Manners the Butler had sex-change surgery and is now thriving in her new identity of Judith Martin (alias Miss Manners). Just as Wendy Carlos used to be Walter Carlos (before he had his synthesizer tempered), and Judge Judy was prooooobably once Sheldon Leonard.-- Nanaea

Judge Judy was undeniably Sheldon Leonard. Very perceptive, Nan!In B&W TV ads in the 60's (?), Manners the Butler was a miniature (reduced in scale on the screen) butler who hung around under dining tables lecturing people whose napkins slipped out of their laps to switch to Kleenex paper napkins, which presumably stayed put. This role of course was only a cover that allowed the mini-perv to gape up a lotta skirts...
