Jaguars and cougars are different species. The cougar is also called puma, mountain lion, or panther and lives in North and South America. The jaguar lives only in South America.It seems that nahuel refers to the jaguar, so there is an error in the database.

Yes, my mistakeI went back to read my statement. A jaguar is hardly a Cougar, in ANY civilisation... Cougar=Jaguar...?!?!?!...-Why did I say that?- (I wonder as I hold my chin and lift my left eyebrow...) -I must go practice my translating skills!-Here is my re-vindication: It seems that nahuel refers to the jaguar, so there is an error in the data base (just kidding)Here: cougar: 1 noun puma m.
