Well, "mund" is clear ("protection"), but I have no idea what BOHE could be. I'm thinking of BOD (messanger) or Slavonic BOG (God) > BOHDAN for BOGDAN, or maybe BALD ("bold"; there is the German surname BOHLE from BALDWIN, but what happened to the L?).helpless Andy ;—)

I discovered thet the is a mythical race of giants in Germanic mtyh called Bohemund if that may help at all.

I checked the Grimm Brothers (Grimms Wörterbuch and Deutsche Mythologie) - no Bohemund.

That reminds meYou reminded me of a line in Wikipedia's article on Bohemund I of Antioch (c. 1058-1111). Specifically:[Bohemund] was christened "Mark" but came to be known as Bohemund, after a legendary giant of that name.Miranda

Thats where I gleaned that information, although I think I might have got it from another source the line looks about right.
