Theories on Alora ...
Several people on this board have made theories about the origin & meaning of the name Alora. I've been collecting the info. The most common meanings seem to do with Light & Laurel. And the most common origin seems to be Latin. Here is what I have at the moment:ALORAAlaura

My mom made up my name and I'v always wondered what it meant. I had heard before it was something to do with Loral but this is really neat. Thank you for the research!

Well there are many people that were named after the child in the movie "Willow". The spelling in the movie is Elora, although some spell it Ilora or Alora.The reason I did the research is because my friend recently named her daughter Alora.I hope the info it helpful to you.
Fun Fact: The character Elora was actually played by twins, Ruth & Kate Greenfield.
