Correct pronunciationsAlana - ah-LAH-nah
Aloha - ah-LOH-hah
Kalea - kah-LAY-ah
Kailani - kai-LAH-nee (kai rhymes with eye)
Kaleigh - not a Hawaiian name with this spelling, as you've learned. If it was written with Hawaiian spelling, it would probably be Keili and pronounced KAY-lee
Lahela - lah-HAY-lah
Lanai - lah-NAI (NAI rhymes with eye)
Leilani - lay-LAH-nee
Malia - mah-LEE-ah (my middle name, after my mum who's Hawaiian)
Nalani - nah-LAH-nee
Noelani - noh-eh-LAH-nee

My name is Kalea. I am not from Hawaii, but I am from australia. We pronounce my name Ka-lee-ah. I don't know if this is how you pronounce it in Hawaii, but that's how everyone I know pronounce it. The only problem anyone ever has with it is proper pronounciation.
Hope I helped,
Kalea.

Lord of the RingsHas anyone noticed how many Lord of the Rings names are on this website? I don't think I've ever met or heard of someone called Frodo or Legolas. Please explain.
If you can explain, contact me by message board or Brigid_Goddess@Hotmail.com

Those are names in literature, I know one of my freinds actually would name his son Samwise. Not every name on this sight has been used on actual people but has occured in literature, and therefore concievably could be used on an actual person.

yeah I guess forgot about that one but according to my friend who is hawaiian that's a hawaiian name its not necessarily spelled that way. I just typed the spelling that made it easy to pronounce I guess.
