my daughters name is Kindra... in the book Cletic names for children it states Kendra may be from "Kendrick" meaning "wise ruler", or may be a combination of ceann, "head" + Sandra a form af Alexandra,and thus means "helper of people"..

however when i named my daughter i found that Kindra was galic and ment Kin foke.. or ancesters.
