Behind the Name: Message: "Lua"

Has anyone ever heard the name Lua before? It's my middle name (pronounced like Lou A), and I was named after my great-grandmother Matty Lua). I obviously know it's an uncommon name, but I did meet someone once who knew another Lua. I just wanted to know if anyone else knows a Lua, or anything about the name. I have a feeling my great-great-grandmother just made it up.
