Re: In need of help again!
Hey Pavlos, you are mistaken about the snow matter, I didn´t get a really impressing amount of it - I live in Germany currently. And don´t laugh: back at home we actually once had snow in June.
Thanks again for your help (and I still claim that the name has to have a slight Arabic touch, too) + please allow me a personal question: is etymology in general something you do as a profession? Just curious :0)
Did Nephele become a lot of Christmas presents? My son, Saam, has been driving me crazy with his new police motorbike (drivable, with 5-7 kmh = lots of near-by domestic accidents)

You're very welcome! Actually etymology is what I do when I'm *bored* with my profession (I'm an eekonomist) and feel like procrastinating at work :)
No gifts for Nephele yet, since the Greek version of Santa Claus -- St Basil -- gives out presents on New Years Day, not Christmas (and I regret to say that he does not come from Finland but from Cesarea)
Fortunately Nephele is still young enough not to ask for particular gifts -- but as far as "domestic accidents" are concerned, she has a gift for all forms of mayhem and entropy. Next year she will probably ask for a sledgehammer.
Have a fantastic New Year.

That´s funny, I sort pictured you as "a university kind of guy", teaching literature, history, art history etc. I have a rather vivid imagination as it seems.
I work myself in the economic field too - and hang out on diverse message boards when I´m bored at work. Talk about bad habits :0)
Have a fantastic New Year too and "yamas" (right??)!
