Fiona does not mean "violet" in Greek. The Greek for "violet" is ion, and Ianthe is a Greek name meaning "violet flower" (click link for details).As for all the stuff about personality, sorry but it's nonsense. Personality comes from many sources - genetics, upbringing, life situations; but NOT a person's name. I know several Fionas, none of whom match that description and all of whom are different from each other.edited to remove an innacuracy :-)
