Honestly, according to your other sis, Niki, it was chosen from the Bible. Now if you had stayed communicated with me you would have found out a lot more.
I did some genealogy and I traced our Duchene ancestors back to Jacques Duchene from Metz 1610. If you want to branch out through cousins and ancestorial cousins, then we can trace back to the Roman Empire.
Right now, I am in contact with your 4th cousin, once removed. in Pebble Beach, Ca. Also, a cousin out in Venice Florida.
Ludweiler, Germany has just celebrate its 400th anniversary this past year there and our cousins and other Duchenes were there.
Still, tracing Apolonia Zamorska/ski through Polish records. I found out she had traveled here with her sister Maria in 1911.
