Great book!
I read *The Red Tent* a few years back when it first came out. Couldn't put it down -- it was an absolutely riveting story. Reviewers have said that *The Red Tent* is what the Bible might have been like if it had been written by women. Not just women, but Judeo-pagans (HELLO, PHYLLIS!) would appreciate this book.-- Nanaea

I remember reading that on the page with all the praises, about how this is what the Bible would have been like had it been written by women. It really was great. Didn't it make you feel lucky to be a woman?? I can't wait to read it again.SJ

Our book group chose "The Red Tent" for this month, but I just couldn't get into it. Too much melodrama for me....guess I needed something a little lighter and crazier for these dark winter nights. I'm reading "The Hitch Hiker's Guide to the Galaxy". Now there's escapism for you!

I'll try to take a gander at it after I finish doing research on the Jewish Kabbalah for my Ethnic Studies class (Ethnicity and the Occult).Phyllis (aka Sidhe Uaine or Gaia Euphoria)
