Does anyone know about the name Valeri(m)? I know it is Russian but have now idea what it means, and I DOUBt it has anything to do with the female name Valerie. Also is the name Natasza ( I think it is a variant of Natasha) Polish and is it pronounced dfferently? ( maybe Agata would know)thanks!

Valeri or Valerij (pronounced with a long "i" at the end) is the Slavic version of Valerius. The female is Valeria / Valerija. And yes, it is essentially the same as Valerie :o).

Yepp, it is a variant of Natasha.Pronounced almost the same way... in Polish the "sh" sound isn't spelled "sh", the "sh" sound is spelled by "si" or an "s" with an accent (a line) over it... the "sz" sound is close to the "sh" sound but a bit harsher, there is no such sound in the English langauge.I'm trying not to be too confussing.
