Mike C: I'm very surprised that you don't list a namesake for the name "Brigham." The obvious one is Brigham Young, Mormon pioneer leader and Governor of the Utah Territory. Brigham Young University is named after him; he also founded the University of Utah.

There are plenty of names in the database that don't have namesakes. Just out of curiosity, are you Morman?

Yes, I am a Mormon (or more properly, a Latter-day Saint), but you don't really need to be in order to know about this important a figure in history. I realize there are plenty of names without namesakes--I'm just surprised that this name made it onto the list without such an obvious namesake being mentioned.

Or maybe the American--Indian nickname:
