Re: Holiday Baby Names
in reply to a message by Ann
Don't mean to be too obvious or trite, but Holly and Ivy are nice ones for Christmastime. Of course, there's also Noel or Noelle. For Easter, if you recognize it as a religious event, you might want to try a name that ties in with the atonement, death or resurrection of Christ: Names like Grace, or Ransom (usually for a boy) might work. If you're willing to use names from other languages, there's Salvador or Salvatore, meaning "savior." I'm sure there's a host of others you could find among biblical names, such as Isaiah, Joel, Elijah, and so forth.

I am actually looking for pet name. The House of Mews in Memphis (a no kill shelter is strictly run by volunteers - and they have over 100 cats/kittens on premises) The staff named her Ivy since she came in close to Christmas. So her name now is Ivy Wasson (but my husband and I would like to give her a middle name. She is approx. 5 months old, has been fixed, had all shots and revolution flea treatment. She is the most georgous and loving Pastel Tabbie - she follows us, loved to be picked up, and loves to sleep on the bed with us (actually she likes to sit or lay anywhere we are. and she got over being scared really quick, because it took less than 24 hours til she was completely loveable and turned into a purr machine whenever you touch or get near her. When I wake up, she is asleep on my pillow on my head. My husband and I feel like life is complete again with this addition to our family. She is not a pet, but a member of the family.I am interested in finding her a middle name that also has to do with Christmas and flows off the tongue easily.Thank you for listening to me ramble. I am just so happy and in love with Ivy, I just need help picking out a middle name that flows off the tongue and has a Christmas name to match Ivy.

"Noella" is another feminine form of "Noel".

...forgot a really important oneForgot an especially applicable boy's name for Easter: Joshua means "Jehovah saves." It's also available in alternate forms such as Jeshua, Yeshua and Jesus.
