We DON'T mind the announcements. What we (I'm assuming I'm not the only one) hate is when we're asked opinions of names/name combinations. The message board is mainly for finding the etymology of names. Those who ask for opinions of what to name a child (or children if it's a case of multiple births) are the ones who upset us. These children ARE NOT OURS! Go to kabbalarians.com (please correct me here, those who are much more familiar with the particular site I'm thinking of) or haggisbutt. (Please excuse the electronic yelling, but I thought that Nanaea did her satanic exorcism of "I'm pregnant for the [insert #] time and I don't have a clue on what to name the [insert prospective gender of kid]. What do you think of this name?" posters. ARGH!)
