Couldn't find the name on any Iranian name site, so I asked an Iranian engineer at work. He said it didn't "sound" Islamic, but wasn't really familiar with the name or its meaning.
Suggestion: If you go on Yahoo and put in the search word Pedram, several personal sites will come up. Try e-mailing the sites whose owners share your first name. They'll probably be glad to share any information they have.
