Yes, I have some relatives who live not so far from Rome and I also have been living there for a long time. I've met a lot of Elenas, some of them were from the northern Italy but I've never heard the pronunciation ay-LAY-nah, which sounds spanish to me.
...I'm not meaning this pronunciation coulndn't exist at all in italy, obviously.
