What is the meaning of the name Thaw?

Hi all!I just met a nice Australian guy on-line, and his first name is Thaw. I never heard of this first name before, and I couldn't find it in this database. Maybe someone knows what it means?Thank you very much in advance! :)Lu

Could the Australian guy be from a Burmese background? The name "Thaw" is also a unisex Burmese name given for those born on a Friday. I am not sure if there is a meaning to the Burmese name "Thaw" though. You may have also heard of the late British actor John Thaw (although "Thaw" is used as a surname in that case).
