my mother told me that it is latin and it is not found on your web page, it is not in any of the name meaning books that i have ever looked at and i would really like to know if you can help me i would be greatly appriciative.

This doesn't look at all like a Latin name. My vote is that it's a spelling variant of Sheila, whose meaning it would share.
