Kaede - how is it pronounced?

I'm reading a book at the moment and one of the female characters in is it called Kaede. In my mind I have been pronouncing the name as KAY-EADE, but i'm beginning to think its most likely KAY-DEE. Anyone know of any other pronounciations for this name?

If it is the Japanese name Kaede...

It is pronounced kuh - EH - deh

Yeah it is, the 3rd book. Shame it doesn't say how to pronounce all the names in it.

I've been saying it in my head as KAY-EED. Problem is, I think I will always pronounce it like that!
