Behind the Name: Message: "Origins of name"

I would like to know about my name the exact meaning and origin.

All I know is that once a Jewish man told me that "Getzi", which is my nick name, means "half".

Then once I know a Swiss man who told me that "Getzibell" has its origins in Germany.

Unfortunately, this is the only information I've got.
