origins and meanings of Debia Tegan Cade
Hi - I am considering a name change, and the name I am drawn to is Debia Tegan Cade. I would appreciate input from anyone on any (or all) of these three names. I believe Tegan is Welsh, and I've read that Cade is both American and Welsh. Debia is something I came up with on my own (I think), although there may already be such a name. My existing name is Debra, and I'm also called Debbie, and I've never cared for either - too mundane, although the meaning of the name, "bee" fits me, as I am a busy, productive person. I want to make sure I do not take on any negative traits by adopting the wrong name. Maybe what I need is name analysis? Thanks so much. DTC :>)

Names meanings are really what you think they are. So if you like a name, it's positive for you, however many idiots, criminals and suburban housewives have borne it before. Bees seem busy and productive to you; what about a Debra who's allergic to their stings? Tegan or Teagan is quite fashionable at the moment, and so is Cade, so you're clearly in touch with the trends. Let that be enough! Change away, and enjoy your new image. Just remember - it is image, not reality. You are who you are.

What a refreshing approach! Thank you. I've been scouring the Internet, worrying that I'm going to take on some unsuitable traits by choosing the wrong name. I never thought of bee-allergic Debras, but I'm sure there are plenty of them out there. Thanks for the new perspective. BTW, I was using different names as I posted different messages, trying to keep the name in sync with the messages, but was asked to stop doing that. Duh - I didn't mean to cause problems. So from here on out, I'll sign in as Deb.
