Hi,

I like the Irish girl name Enya very much and I wish to give it to my daughter, but is this a normal name or is this only the artist name of the singer Enya? Are there girls in Irland their names are Enya?

Enya is an English spelling of Eithne, which is pr. something like "Enya" in Irish.

I would presume

That it probably holds the same standing as say, Annabel would here. It is uncommon, but people have heard of the name, and used it. It may be used more so by Catholices, and Eithne was a follower of St. Patrick, and a sister of a saint herself.
