Help with a few first names
I am trying to find the meaning, history, etc. of a few names I am considering for my daughter based on how they sound. I dont know if it good manners on this board to ask about more than one name, but the names I am considering and the information I have about them so far, are:
Asaria (Arabic surname perhaps?)
Miana
Nirala
Nirina (African - the desired one?)
Ryiah
Taia (Vietnamese?)Any help appreciated! (And if it is in poor taste to post re more than one message I will re-post!) Thank you!

Difficult to say what other cultures might use a name, and without pronounciation, I am not even sure it is on mark. But there is a north Indian boys' name nirAlA, which evolved from nirAlaYa meaning a place free of habitation, empty (i.e. free of crowds), quiet, peaceful, or, by extension, beautiful.

Thank you Claire, I appreicate it. And no, I am not trying to get opinions on these names. While I do like them, and others, I am more interested in knowing the history, meaning, and background of them. Do you think it would be more helpful if I posted questions about them individually?

Nope! Don't post them all separately, it will only clutter up the board and make people cross! :-) They're fairly unusual names so it may be that no-one can say what the meanings are, in which case you will get only a few responses.:-)
