Anyone heard the name Alyscenne?
The name is spelled Alyscenne and pronounced Alyssa-Knee. I suppose it is a derivitive of Alyssa, but I'm not convinced. Any information, meaning, origin would be appreciated so we can include with our daughters baby book. Thank you!

Well, I really like the name Alysanne. Could Alyscenne be a variant of this? I've heard that Alysanne is, besides a modern creative spelling of Alison, also a Medieval name - but this is really all I know!

Looks more like Alice-Annie to me. Are you naming your child this? She'll learn patience and tolerance very soon.

My name is Alyscenne and I am the first one i know of other than another little girl who was named after me in WV. My mother made the name up for me because she didn't want me to grow up with a common name like hers. I have never seen the name or heard it anywhere else until this little girl was named after me. Now, I see it on the lists for "Girls Names". I guess I always liked being the only one that i knew of but i am getting used to the fact that others are starting to use it. :)Alyscenne

Yes, her name is Alyscenne Danae. Most often people call her Allison, but there is another girl with this name, pronounced the same way, so we know it isn't Allison! I heard a rumor that it could be Russian..

Alsacienne, maybe? Girl from Alsace in northern France?

Yes, my name is Alyscenne and the other woman who has a daughter with my name has contacted me to find the origins. It actually has none. My mother made the name up "Long Ago" when she was in high school. she would kill me if she new I said that. :) She said that she sat and put names together until she found one she liked. The Alyscenne Danea is about 24 years younger than me. My boyfriend actually found her looking for me on the web one day when he did a search under my name and it turned out she new my brother when she was in highschool. My background is actually Italian but I can't say that for the name since it was just my wonderful mother being creative and wanting me to be different. Email me if you would like. :)Alyscenne T. First i was just curious where you got the name? And if you are sure that is the pronounciation of it.
You can pronounce it with the hard 'k' sound, its still pretty, im just thinking it might not be the original sound of the name.
At first glance it looks a new spelling of Alison.
If you look at it like it was pronounced 'Ahl-eis-ein' where the 'ysc' makes the middle sound, and the 'enne' the final sound.
I am also curious how you prnounce the name, do you pronounce it like 'Ahl-eis-ah-kuh-nee', or did you not mean to have that 'k' there and it is pronounced 'Ahl-eis-ah-nee'.
If you do pronounce the 'Alysce' (here i especially not the respemblance to the name Alice) part of the name like 'Ahl-eis-ah' I am curious as to where you go the final syllabel of 'ah' besides you seeing the resemblance to the name Alyssa.
Most likely the 'e' following the 'c' does not make the sound of the letter a.
I still believe this is a varition on spelling the name Alison, and you have just made a variation on the pronounciation.
Is your daughter already born yet? just curious
It would be great to hear back for the questions~Silver

I heard the name during childhood. There is another Alyscenne and her last name is Vallelonga. Some have suggested it could be Russian. However, she does pronounce it this way, but has shortened it to Aly for convenience and obviously mispronounciation. I have no intentions to shorten this beautiful name!
We don't pronounce the "k" sound we say alh-eis-ah-nee. It makes since that the "e following the "c" doesn't make the ah sound. What do you think the original pronunciation was/is?
I hope to meet the other Alyscenne someday to ask some questions.
Our daughter is 8 months old and already very unique in her own way!
