Re: Anyone heard the name Alyscenne?
in reply to a message by Amy
First i was just curious where you got the name? And if you are sure that is the pronounciation of it.
You can pronounce it with the hard 'k' sound, its still pretty, im just thinking it might not be the original sound of the name.
At first glance it looks a new spelling of Alison.
If you look at it like it was pronounced 'Ahl-eis-ein' where the 'ysc' makes the middle sound, and the 'enne' the final sound.
I am also curious how you prnounce the name, do you pronounce it like 'Ahl-eis-ah-kuh-nee', or did you not mean to have that 'k' there and it is pronounced 'Ahl-eis-ah-nee'.
If you do pronounce the 'Alysce' (here i especially not the respemblance to the name Alice) part of the name like 'Ahl-eis-ah' I am curious as to where you go the final syllabel of 'ah' besides you seeing the resemblance to the name Alyssa.
Most likely the 'e' following the 'c' does not make the sound of the letter a.
I still believe this is a varition on spelling the name Alison, and you have just made a variation on the pronounciation.
Is your daughter already born yet? just curious
It would be great to hear back for the questions~Silver

I heard the name during childhood. There is another Alyscenne and her last name is Vallelonga. Some have suggested it could be Russian. However, she does pronounce it this way, but has shortened it to Aly for convenience and obviously mispronounciation. I have no intentions to shorten this beautiful name!
We don't pronounce the "k" sound we say alh-eis-ah-nee. It makes since that the "e following the "c" doesn't make the ah sound. What do you think the original pronunciation was/is?
I hope to meet the other Alyscenne someday to ask some questions.
Our daughter is 8 months old and already very unique in her own way!
