Ilomé (pronounced as: Ee-LOW-may), weird isn't it?
But I also don't know what it means. I posted some messages around Jan. 2001, and Nanea told me I had to look for myself, because she thought I (or anyone else) would come up with the meaning or origin.
There is an Middle-African name: Ilome (without this: é) which means: first born in first own house. But that doesn't satisfy me. Except when Ilomé seems French (although the French colonised entire Africa, (almost).
Anyone got any idea???My parents don't know either. Ilomé is my younger sister.

It sounds like the African name to me. The é may just be added because France was a powerful colonial nation in Africa. There are many African immigrants in France, and some of them might conceivably have Frenchified their original names.

It's not a form of Ilona, is it? What's your ethnic/language background? Could also perhaps be a feminine form of Guillaume = William? Sounds very pretty ...
