Kelly
Is the name 'Kelly' really that bad? Most people seem to hate it and all it's other forms. Everyone seems to think it's a snobby cheerleader name, and I was wondering why?

I am not fond of unisex names, and Kelly happens to be one of them. I have known one male Kelly and several female Kelly's. I think of the name as an Irish last name. In Ireland, it is rarely used as a first name, for it is a last name. I don't know, everytime I hear of a girl with a name that was orginally a boy's name I get annoyed. Everytime someone names a girl with a male name, there is another name that is taken out of the male name pool.

I taught a boy called Kelly once - slightly cute I suppose, but no cheerleader! (He did public speaking quite well, though he was very dyslexic.)
