SINA: attn. Shai or Shiloh!
Some of my namebooks say, that SINA is not only a short form of names ending in -sina (like Rosina or Teresina), but also a Hebrew name (f.) meaning "ornament".
Now in the bible SINA is a masculine name, and besides it's obviously a typo in the Hebrew bible and should be Sisa (1. Chr 23,10 and 11), as it is in verse 11.
Now my question: Is the name SINA used in Israel or elsewhere among Jews? And if so: what would be the meaning? Thanks in advance!Andy ;—)

This name isn't common but not rare at all on girls.

Thank you, Claira, for ZINA! This seems to be a different name, taken from the Hebrew word "tsinnah" (shield, buckler).Andy ;—)
