For the husband I like Daniel or Shane because these names sound a little more mature than the others and kind of remind me of my Algebra teacher (whose exact personality you have described!)
I laughed when I saw my own name on the list for the silly immature character, but it fits well. I'd go with Ellie or Allison, they sound a little more childish than some of the others.
