You are right, there are some forms of Vladimir:

Vova (or as you wrote Wowa)
Volodya
Vovochka
Vlad (rare)
Vovka (a little familiar!)
Vovan (for friends)
Volod'ka
Vovanchik
Vovkin (ironic {actualy this word means Vova's })

and many other nicknames depends on Vladimir's friends
