I'm sure I already know how to pronounce some of them but with the Welsh language you can never be sure. Like with Ioan Gruffudd's name.

Sian and Sion's pronunciations are on this site. I don't know if they're 100% correct in Welsh, but they're probably pretty darn close. I would guess that Siana and Siani are pronounced SHAN-a and SHAN-ee, but I'm not sure (especially in Siani's case).

William has several Welsh forms: Gwilim, Gwillym, and Gwilym are in the database.
James doesn't have a Welsh form on this site. However, Jacob, from which James was derived, is Iago in Welsh.
You could've found the last two out by searching for William and James on the main page of BtN, then clicked the "Related Names" link in each name's entry.

SHAN vs SHARN

I assume Miranda's using the same North American pronounciations as me.
So, "SHAN" = "SHAHHHHHN"
(where the "A" is the same as in "father", but not "happy").
In other words, I think we all agree.
(Apologies to Miranda if I've got her accent wrong.)

Nope, have a look at the pronunciation key . . .
Mike C and Miranda live in the same part of Canada, so their pronunciations are identical, and Mike's 'a' is the 'a' in 'bat'. The 'a' in 'father' is represented by 'ah'.
I also believe Mike's pronunciation guide for Sian is wrong - I've only ever heard SHAHN or SHAWN (and the last I've only heard once, on a girl who was named Sian long before it became trendy).
