There a German sax player called MULO Francel. This could of course be a stage name, but I don't think it is. Any ideas, what MULO is? Pronunciation?

Perhaps the nickname Mulo, comes from the Spanish "mulato" which is a term used in reference to a person of mixed, white and Black ancestry.
Ultimately, mulato comes from the word Mulo (mule) which comes from the Latin mulus. But something tells me, in this case, Mulo is short for Mulato and not Mule.
