You can't add names via the boards

Go here to submit a name: http://www.behindthename.com/submit.php.And you have to provide reliable proof (i.e., not from Babynames.com or one of its clones, since they're notoriously unreliable) that these two names 1. are used in Japan and 2. mean what you say they mean. Also, be patient. It can take up to a year or more for Mike to add a submitted name to the site. This is because he has a life outside of BtN, and he has to do extensive research into every name to find out its origin and history.

Proof is hardFor instance, I wanted to add the boy's name Love (LOO-vay) but I don't know of any English sites with this name. Now only the English word and meaning is to be seen. If you meet a Swedish boy/man named Love, it is not the English "love".

Yes, Love is a nice name. It's an old nn for Ludvig.
Är du också svensk, Ylva?

Non-English sites should be ok - one can usually find a translator like Babelfish that can give a vague idea of what is going on.But either way, proof *is* a requirement for having your name added to the site.
