I found these meanings:

1) Form of Wendela: German name meaning: Belongs to the "Wandalen" (Old German name for the tribe Wandalen, an East Germanic tribe)

2) Form of Gwenda: Welsh name meaning: pure, white + good

3) Norse name in England (not in use in Scandinavia, so I don't know if this information is right) meaning: traveller, wanderer

4) Old English name meaning: little friend
