Hi Jamal,you are right, Tallak has got nothing to do with any Cornish words. It's a form of Tollak which comes from the Norse name Torleik.The first part of the name "Tor" comes from the God name "þórr" and that's the most common prefix in Norse names (the God name derives from the Old Norse "þunraR" which is the root for the English word thunder as well.The second part "leik" comes from Norse "leikr" which means "game (with weapons)".Regards, Satu
