My name is Elvia.
I cannot find the meaning of this name anywhere but everyone I have met with the same name says it means something totally different.
I have heard it means "Elf councelour" , "female elf", "a form of Elvira."
I am from Central America, Panama.
I am female.
Hispanic.

Help me find what Elvia means.

Hi Elvia,

Elvia can be a form of Elvina which comes from the German name Alwina:

1) elf + friend (if Alwina is short from Alfwina)
2) noble + friend (if Alwina is short from Adalwina)
