Re: Character Name?
I agree! I was just coming back to post that any nicknamy names would be best! :-) You have the character down, LOl. I love them all, especially Chris. I was also thinking Chase from Francesca. What do you think?-Gillian

Hmmm, I'm sorry, I don't really like Chase Ryan. :(What about Alex or Alec maybe? Also, I'm glad to hear you like my suggestions. :) My top 3 of them are:1. Chris Ryan
2. Kate Ryan
3. Will RyanThese names would fit best for your character, imho. :)Regards,Lucille

Oh wait, another suggestion just sprang to mind! What about Nell Ryan? I have this name for a strong female character in a story of mine (I write fanfiction), and I really find Nell suitable also. Reminds me also a bit of Jodie Foster's character Nell in the movie "Nell."What do you think?Regards,LucilleP.S.: Let us know your final decision, that's interesting to hear. :)

LOL, I write fanfiction as well! Well, this specific story is a fan fiction, I write my own stories as well. :o)
For now she's Chris, short for Christine. It suits her okay, I guess, but something just doesn't fit. The thing is she can't be Kate (Kate is my favorite name, by the way :-p) because one of the main characters' daughter is named Kate. I like Nell... :o) I have a feeling she won't stay Chris for long. I never had this much problem with naming a character ever before!May I ask what you write fanfiction for?
Cheers-
Gillian

Hehehe, I know the feeling when you know that a character won't keep having the same first name for long. ;) I mostly have that with surnames, though. ;)To answer your question, I write fanfic for "Buffy, The Vampire Slayer", with Buffy/Giles as a couple. I know a lot of people don't like BtVS, but I just love the series. What series do you write fanfic for, then?I've come up with a couple more name suggestions. ;)Tess Ryan
Kes Ryan
Luce Ryan (short for Lucille, hehehe!)
Mel Ryan (short for Melanie)
Jo Ryan (short for Josephine)
Dru Ryan (short for Drusilla)
Ash Ryan (short for Ashley)
Tash Ryan (short for Natasha)
Sash Ryan (short for Sasha)
Cal Ryan (short for Calista)
Val Ryan (short for Valerie)
Jeri Ryan
Cass Ryan (short for Cassandra)
Mur Ryan (short for Muriel, and I use this nick myself, with my friend)
Dani Ryan (short for Danielle)
Ell Ryan (short for Elise)
Deb Ryan (short for Deborah)
Dee Ryan
Rory RyanOne of my favorites is also the given name Merlin for a girl (Mer for short). A girl I know in real life has this name, and I love it.Well, I think that's all I can come up with for now. ;)Good luck!Regards,Lucille

I never have a chance to watch Buffy (time wise) but it is a brilliant show Television wise. Very well made. I write fanfics for "McLeod's Daughters"- you won't know this show if you live in the states though... I also wrote for The West Wing and Third Watch at one time, but McLeod's Daughters is my fave. :o)
Lots of great names on that list- I also like Pru but it's a little too Charmed for me :-p- Ell being my favorite one. I'm thinking about hcanging the baby's name from Kate to Abby and just name this character Kate, because she IS a Kate... Hehe, I have a problem with surnames as well! Luckily this is a ready made family here, LOL, so I didn't have to think of a last name for her.
Thanks for your suggestions!-Gillian
